the Douglas is missing his pick.

LOL. I just found it on the floor where I was doing some intonation adjusts, so don't worry, it has its pick now...

It's a 2006 limited USA Chambered Ash Tele w/ a spruce top and '52 style 'C' shaped neck/electronics. I'm staying with the 3-barrel bridge for now, but it came with the same 6-saddle upgrade which will probably find it's way into the mix somewhere. Whether this guitar or one of my other teles.

Found out from Fender's customer support that this is actually a 2004. One of only a couple hundred made that year. Woooo Hoooo!!!!!

Thanks! Sadly, I recently sold the bottom two (a 1997 Telecaster Plus and a 72 Deluxe RI) but I do have the Japanese Tele Custom still. Thank god :)

OK here's the latest purchase.I have to specify, because I usually put together or at least modify any guitars I have, but I happened to be in the process of building a double fat tele that I was going to stock with a Duncan 59 and a Pearly Gates, when I saw this thing and decided for once, the guitar I wanted was already made for me. It really is everything I was looking for. Then there was the blue-lined G&G case with the waterslide amp logo... well, need I say more... The body is mahogany and the neck is mahogany set, with the spalted maple top, I just cant get enough of this guitar. Then there's the fact that it plays like butter... from the factory no less. I usually play 11's but the 10's on this thing just seem to be perfect for the neck, so until it needs a setup I'm going to leave it alone. The only thing I may change is the tuners. The stock ones are fine (probably Ping) , but I have a couple sets of American Standard Fender/Schaller tuners around and a vintage set of Fender branded Sperzels also. So... we'll see.ImageImageImageImage

This one is nearly done. Just waiting on some 70's style "F" tuners to finish it off. So far the body is a Fender Standard alder MIM. The neck is an Allparts CBS style 70's strat replacement neck (licensed by Fender ). The bridge is a Fender six saddle 50's style and the pickups are Seymour Duncans. (SM-2n Custom Mini Bucker in the neck position and a STk-T3b vintage stack in the bridge position.) I started building a custom 52 tele hotrod and decided to make some small changes along the way. I just may need to pick up another G&G for this one once it's done.Image Image

Not sure yet what direction I'm going with this one. I also have a pickguard cut for a strat neck pickup so I may play around with that or else I'll just go with the set up here. Same body and neck specs as the Sunburst above, I think I'm going to go with the 50's style tuners on this one. The ones in the Grover package are actually Gotoh's from a '52 Fender reissue, but I also have some Klusons on order right now that look the part, but have a screw type bushing and 15:1 ratio so I'll probably just use those. I only have one guitar left with the 50's style tuners still in use and those will probably be swapped out soon enough.ImageImageImage
