I ordered a new 3-colour Sunburst Bajas '60s Telecaster. The spec. sheet on the Fender site specifies that it comes with a parchment pickguard. However the pictures that I've been looking at lately, seem to show it with a white pickguard. The spec. sheet also indicates that it has a rosewood fretboard, so it would seem that, the spec. sheet is an older one, as now the fretboard is pau ferro. Does anyone know if Fender could have likely changed the pickguard colour on the newer Baja '60s without giving a spec. sheet update? The parchment pickguard was one of the points that caught my attention when I was researching before purchase, and I like to get what I order. If in fact it does get delivered with a white pickguard do you think I would have a problem getting it exchanged through Fender?
And also, a bit off topic, can I upload photos to my postings, and how do I do it?

Thanks a lot...............Dave

How to post photo as read on Fender Forum; from a great forum member ; Jmattis

First you need to upload your pics to the internet.

Use a pic hosting site (imgur, imgbb, flickr or such - avoid photobucket) or some common web framework like e.g. facebook, googlephotos - whatever you're familiar with.

The important thing is that the web site provides you with a pic address - that's the one starting with 'http' and ending in '.jpg'.

Copy the pic address, and use the IMG-command (visible when you write a message) on the forum.

Preview your post so everything is OK.

It's always "specifications subject to change without notice", like with any manufacturer (or webshop).
I think the fretboard thang was solved on your Lounge topic; guitar model 014-1510-XXX comes with Rosewood, model 014-1513-XXX with Pau Ferro. Many guitar shops may have the rw version in stock, although it's NLA from Fender.
On the pickguard (&other that sort of stuff, even guitar colors); don't trust internet pictures - their color balance can be w - a - y off.
But on both (&other possible) issues: Check the guitar when it arrives. If you're not satisfied, check the return policy of the shop (the major shops have a no questions asked clause), and utilize it if necessary.

Edit: Ha, stratele52 quotes my pic posting quote from a post I made without münchening the source. Time to lawyer up.

Thanks for the suggestions regarding the pickguard. I'll just let things run their course. And when the guitar arrives, if it's not 99.99% pure, then I'll lose it! I might take that guitar and start playing it, right there in their shop, for all their customers to hear. That'll fix 'em! LOL
As far as posting photos is concerned, that process is way too complicated and time consuming for me. On all the other forums that I subscribe too, it's simply a case of drag 'n' drop. Oh well! Thanks for your replies, I really appreciated them.

Pic posting is a continuing debate around here. There was a semi-official answer in the Lounge section:
Brad Traweek - Fender wrote:
The issue on this one is less around tech limitations and more around liability and level of service. On a corporate forum of this nature it introduces new scenarios around the uploaded content itself that we aren't really equipped to handle: like us hosting inappropriate or politically-charged content, or unauthorized content of concern to other firms, etc. Can it all be navigated, tightened down, and policed? Of course. But the reward has to outweigh the risk and resource devotion and we've not been able to justify it as of yet.
But actually, those same problems remain with pics stored on outside-Fender hosts, posted on the forum, so go figure...

Then again, some pic host sites (not to mention facebook, googlephotos, if you use those) are quite easy.
And, if you are not willing to spend the time & effort, at one point you may notice members are less willing to help here...
Sometimes answering is impossible without pics, sometimes they're "a reward" for helping, sometimes they're just nice.

I just meant any pic host outside Fender, I was too lazy to write or copy any list of them.
So, to be absolutely clear: to my knowledge, Fender does not have a pic host site/service for the forum. (YET...)

On that flickr thang, I noticed there were pics missing but thought that those were removed by the owner. Real sad if they went down the photobucket way, but my advice is the same on both: choose another service.

My apologies if I offended anyone by my comment. That certainly was not my intention, and I do appreciate your replies, and your help. I'll try to refine my wording in the future to avoid any misinterpretation.

Maybe I also should have been more clear.
It certainly ain't your fault that the pic posting is troublesome and a mess in this forum. And you're not the only one criticising it - I tend to belong to that choir, too.
So: I merely tried to describe the situation, not set hidden threats.

English is not my native language, as a distinguished forum college often says...
