I have a Tele that was made in March of '52
and I live in Garland, Tx.
I won't ever sell it but would
like to know about what it
is worth.
The guy that originatly owned it
played lead for Jim Reeves and
Ray Price. It's the main guitar I
play and it still has a sweet sound.

Can anyone help a po' boy
out.

is there a stamped number on the bridge plate ? and a date penciled in the body neck cavity?
I own a '51 no-caster, with bridge #0389 and neck date TG 1/?/51 in pretty good shape concidering its age
I'm told it's worth at least $25,000.
But yours has some history-- being from a famous country stars guitar player.
Put it away an buy a nice custom shop '52 for playing . you don't want anything to happen to that baby. It can't do anything but gain value as long as it remains in good shape. get it out to play for special occassions

Happy playing
'51 no-caster
'57 strat
Vibro king
'55 Fender pro
'59 Champ

Ray Price played with a band called "The Drifting Cowboys" in the mid 50's. Most of the musicians were from Lefty Frizzell's band, "Western Cherokees". Also many other musicians had played and got their start with Ray's band such as Buddy Emmons, Willie Nelson and Johnny Paycheck. I'd do some searching on who the original owner was and store that axe away in a safe place!

You got something special thereI would try to document the history of it the best I could. Might be someone from the Fender Museum could help with that. There not many around that someone would say is there everyday player.

The current Blue Book value is 37,500.00 in EXC. condition and if it is a custom color add 75% to that
