Hello everyone!

I've just bought an interesting instrument Fender 1960 Telecaster Custom produced in 2005. Everything is fine except fact that it has maple fingerboard. I am sure that it's original, beacuse I have all of cerificates etc. It's strange that Fender 60's reissue has maple fingerboard and fat neck. I couldn't find any information about this model, specs etc. Do you recognize this model guys? Does it any limited or special series?

Thanks a lot!

I found only this video with another example of this model.

" Does it any limited or special series? "

If it is a "relic" as video title said, IMO it is limited.
Nothing on 2005 Fender Frontline.

Why don't you post pictures showing the back and more ?

My is not relic but NOS. I've just got the answer from Fender with specs.

I am interested in historic aspects. Do you know If in 60's were posbibilty to get tele with maple neck?

From mid '59 until '67 ; rosewood fretboard standard or maple capped neck for replacement or custom order basic
'67 maple become optional.

2 pieces maple neck from '60 is easily distinguished from the one piece neck by both the lack of walnut plug and constrasting stripe ( a.k.a. "skunk stripe" ) on the back
Early '69 one piece maple neck was reissue as an option ( on Tele)

There is information on specs that neck has 52 tele features. Very interesting configuration.

Thanks for your help!
