I can't find it anywhere on the site... cherry red dual humbucker Tele (looks like a Tele, anyway) with an upper bout pickup selector.

Note to Fender: it'd be nice if you could click on these guitars in the background and be taken to their product pages. I've been looking all over the net for this guitar and haven't come up with anything.

edit: here's the link to the background image

I thought it was a Special Edition Telecaster that has a set neck mahogany body maple cap. Made in korea and the pickups I think are Pearly Gates Plus. But that does not have a pickguard on it like the one in the photo now that I am looking at it. perhaps a older model no longer in production.

I'm not sure what that is, but it reminds me of the Tele Sonic they put out a few years ago except that the Sonic had DeArmond pickups. Looks like a mahogany body though... I could be wrong. I know there are a number of guitars they feature in the background of the website that they no longer make or are probably limited run guitars. It's not uncommon for them to make guitars and never even list the specs on the website or in the Frontline catalogue, if they are a limited run. I have a Chambered Tele from 2004 that I could never find any documentation on until I contacted Fender directly and found out it was one of only a few hundred made in 2004. I'm sure there are plenty of others.(This one is chambered ash with a spruce top) Image

I believe its a Tele O Sonic (spelling?). They made these a few years ago and where then discontinued. I've seen them with P 90's and have heard they also had humbuckers as another option. Though I'm not 100% sure of this I would say that it is the most likely a Tele O Sonic.

That's not a Telecaster, it's a Tornado. They're discontinued now.

No, it's not a Toronado, it's a TeleSonic HH. They're rare from what I can tell.

Here's a picture. As you can tell, it's dead on, unlike the Toronado.

Ah, you're right. I didn't notice the tune-o-matic on the Toronado.

Kind of weird that Fender would feature old, discontinued models on their web site. :?

I know. When I first saw that guitar, I searched high and low for one because I love weird Teles.
