Hi, couple questions....

Anyone actually wire their guitar with these pick-up and the "included 3-way series wiring diagram"? Im not undertsanding why with RWRP pick-ups a series switching diagram was included for the three way. Nor did these pick-ups work wired in parallel-phase issues.

You guys read all the issues with this diagram and pick-ups on the internet. Sheeze wish I read that first and checked the polarity first... anyone check the polarity if the pick-ups repel what does that mean? Same polarity?

Has anyone wired this set in parallel? Has anyone checked the polarity on these from the box?

Are there different pick-ups in the American Special Tele and what wiring diagram was used with the switch?

Thanks in advance.

For the basic problem, check this: viewtopic.php?t=749

About the AmSpecial, the Service Diagram/Parts Layout/Service Manual (don't know what it was officially called) for Telecaster American Special 0115802XXX, from November 25th, 2013, Rev A is what you need.
The pickup part numbers are "PICKUP ASSY TELE TEXAS SPECIAL" 0992121001 (bridge) and "PICKUP TELE TEXAS SPECIAL" 0992121002 (neck).
The neck pickup wires go as bluescat suggests in the link above; WHT to switch, BLK an Y to back of pot.
The Greasebucket cap/resistors are the same as in earlier versions.

The diagram was an oversight by Fender a... mistake... that clearly needs to be corrected Im sure everyone agrees?

The diagram should be as below as discussed with the Tele Special also. Basically Fenders tech checked the series wiring point to point and the polarity of which they are the same as are the pick-ups which came out. No issues with wiring. Same polarity since the attraction law has both sets repelling and checks the same on the meter both run positiive in testing with an analog.

There were two mistakes made by Fender-to be clear here. One in the older CSTS series wiring diagram and two is the set isnt whats advertised with rwrp. I dont know why, prehaps a mistake.

Anyway the issue with Fender is stating they are rwrp and then sending people a series diagram for a 3-way, defeats the purpose of the rwrp. Makes no sense and they have no real qualified techs to speak tp. CR and the shop techs have minimal electrical experience. And yes I have a electrical degree form Georgia Tech and work in aviation. This is bs. And of which as I expect if i re-wire and have a phase issue in parallel Fender will have another issue with me. Aside from this one. I dont have time for bs like this talking to incompetetant google electrical 101 theory self appointed experts.

Thanks lets be honest here.
