I was at the summer Namm Show and I was drooling over the new George Harrison Rosewood Telecaster with his signature on the neck plate. I quickly called my "Go to Guy" at Guitar Center and I now have one on order. I am hoping this guitar will arrive on the date that Fender states will be available on August 22nd. What a beautiful guitar Fender came out with. :D

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Venus 12 it will be worth it after you see the guitar and play it. I saw it at the summer Namm Show here in Nashville and I just couldn't believe how cool it looked. I am sure the Harrison estate would not let Fender use George's name on the guitar, if the quality was not there. I am hoping the guitar arrives on August 22nd, that is the availability date.

You picked the smart choice by ordering Rosie. My guitar should be arriving anytime now, according to Guitar Center where I ordered it from. I will let you know when I have it in my hands! :D

Nice!

"George Harrison Rosewood Telecaster: Launching August 22, 2017 ($2,499.99)

To honor Harrison's venerable career, Fender has created the George Harrison Rosewood Telecaster, a limited edition commemoration that embodies Harrison’s elegantly restrained playing style and sound. Based on the original Telecaster created for Harrison by luthier Roger Rossmeisl, this model remains true to its heritage with a classic look and the unique tone only an all-rosewood guitar can produce. The body is chambered for reduced weight and increased resonance.

Other features include a rosewood neck with a laminated 9.5" radius rosewood fingerboard and a custom neck plate engraved with an Om symbol. A classic in every way, this refined instrument was born in the era that defined rock n' roll. Harrison’s legacy is one of innovation and creativity, and the rosewood Telecaster became one of his primary instruments of choice. Only 1,000 units will be available worldwide."

Here's the thing, while waiting for my new tele be ready..... I'm wondering if they'll be numbered and how???
looking at the only picture I can find it looks like George's sig the Om sign and VLG00002
"VINTAGE LIMITED GEORGE #2" sound right, anybody know, any better speculations
Looks like it might be VLE ltd Ed ... sounds more plausible
oh and hurry up Fender :D :D :D :D

I am hoping that I will have a low serial number on my guitar, since I had it ordered the day I saw it at the summer Namm Show. I am keeping my fingers crossed and patiently waiting for the phone call from Guitar Center telling me my guitar has arrived. :D

I know Guitar Center bought quite a few of them and I was on the ground floor for one ordered for me. I am not sure how the serial numbers are running with these guitars at this time. Let us know when you get your guitar in the UK. :D

Be sure to post photos of these guitars when they arrive. I'm getting interested in ordering one myself it's been a long time since I bought a guitar, but I know I shouldn't, I've got too many guitars as it is. :)
