Hi
I know that some guitars of fender are produced in diffrent countries like usa, mexico and some in indonisia, which has a big diffrence in the price. But how can i know which fender guitars are made in which country?
Here in the "Product List" from Tele's, i think its not signed which guitars are made in which county.

Can anyone explain me how this works?

A fellow forum member was complaining about lack of info regarding where certain models were made (except for the US made ones which are called "American" this or that). The first 3 digits of the model number are a code which contain information about the country of origin.

I went through a few old Frontline catalogs ('95, '97, '02, & '03) and came up with the coded list of Country of Origin and First Three digits of Fender's Model numbers.

US made: 010, 011, 019 (basses), 015 (custom shop), 110
Mexico made: 013, 113, 014
Japan made: 025, 027
Korea made: 026

(No Squier numbers included.)

You probably kno this I am sure but I will say it anyway.
*Please note that the origin of manufacturing isn't the only (or often even main reason) for price differences.
There are many other factors such as materials & craftsmanship that factor in too.

Oh my goodness... Yes they are, especially the Mexican Fenders, they are made in Mexico because it is cheaper to uphold a factory there. They ship the stuff there, are built, and shipped back still with enough profit made for it to make sense. Companies always do this and it's not just Mexico. It's usually china, as you know the "MADE IN CHINA" thing. But Fender doesn't take 'em to China.

What's the difference between an American Fender and a Mexican Fender? One is made in the USA by Mexicans, the other is made in Mexico by Mexicans. I have a lite ash tele made in Korea and it's great. I have also had Japanese Fenders and they are good too. I currently also have two Mexicans, an Esquire and a partscaster. Both guitars have been up graded with new pups. Before I buy any guitar, I now make sure it is something I actually need. I try to play it and see how it feels in my hands. I also look over the guitar for workmanship. Once I see a few doffrent models in different stores, I will hunt that baby down on ebay to save money. I bought a new Clapton Strat that way and got it new for 50% off the street price. With any low end guitar I buy, I will always up- grade to better pups that will allow me to get a certain sound for that particular guitar. This way, I always have a reason to keep a guitar. I am not a collector yet, though I have owned a lot of guitars. I find that I will play them and if I see them in their cases more than in my hands, I will sell it.
