Just as the title says. This week I got a MIJ 62 reissue from 1992, sunburts with double binding, amazing neck, I love it. But the pickups... I don't know how to handle them. The previous owner told me that the pickups are amazing, but most people on the internet said they swapped them quickly

I cannot find the exact model anywhere. They have like very low output, and when I put a bit of gain in my bedroom amp (a yamaha thr10c) it gets very noisy. They have a nice response and twang, but the hum is too much for me at the moment. I don't play heavy metal, but I like a bit of higher output.

I would like to know the exact model of pickups, to know if it is worth to swap them or not. The previous owner, as said, told me they are fantastic, so I don't know. If I swap them I would use a LF Blues that I have around unused at the moment.

Finding the exact model for the pickups woud require knowing the exact model of the guitar - and even then all pickups aren't documented. On a 1992 MIJ Tele from the 'normal production selection', my best guess is either "TL Vintage" or "TL Vintage USA" pickups. But there may have been special models for import/export/whatever.

On your reasonings for the pickups swap...
Do not trust what the previous owner told you, it's his/her/its personal opinion.
Do not trust what somebody in the web writes, those can be anything from trolling to personal opinions.
Do not think about what a pickup is called when you listen to how it sounds. Thou shalt not judge a pickup by its name...
TRUST YOUR OWN EARS

IMHO, it's wise to let some time pass before doing any major mods. The guitar, you and your other gear often don't match the first time you meet. Give the guitar a proper setup, experiment with pickup heights and play as much as you can. Swap the pups next year, if you still feel the need for that.
