I just acquired a seafoam green Mag 7 Tele and I am thinking I want to change the Bridge to a Deluxe tele bridge. Can anyone tell me if the deluxe bridge is a simple switch :?: and maybe the part# for the deluxe bridge.

I look at some pictures and IMO it will fit if your Tele is all american made. I could be wrong too.

Why don't you keep the original vintage looking bridge ? The Deluxe bridge will not work better.

The 2016 Magnificent 7 Seafoam Green Tele is basically an American Standard.
The old American Series/Standard bridge with offset screw block saddles part 099-0807-100 should fit

One thing to think about, before you mod the bridge:
The Mag7 is a limited series. If you ever want to sell the guitar, originals are rated higher than modded ones. So, at least keep the original bridge and all parts belonging to it - in a place you are sure you find it if needed.

Sorry S52 but I felt the stock bridge sounded a little thin/tinny and since I posted my inquiry, I found another mag 7 owner that thought the same thing. His fix was to install the deluxe bridge and he feels his tone did change for the better. He has a video on youtube doing a review on his Tele. This bridge is a no mod switch so I do believe I will make the switch. Thank You for taking the time to respond to my post.

He feels......

Without a A/B test can you really hear that ?
The guy may put new strings too and do set up

Those didn't have the vintage bridge; they had the American Standard bridge with the bent saddles.

To the OP - you can also buy solid saddles with centered adjustment screws to try it out; you don't have to buy the entire Deluxe bridge as used on American Deluxes/American Elites.

Yes saddles. They have the vintage look to me.

Only new saddles no entire bridge will give it a better tone ?

I'm pretty sure the only difference in the bridge plate between the American Standard bridge and the American Deluxe/American Elite bridge is where the holes are drilled for the saddle adjustment screws - they are made of the same metal and are the same thickness.

I don't know JohnC but I'm pretty sure you won't hear any difference in tone between these two bridge if you don't A/B test.

And with A/B test will hear some difference ?

Sure if you spend money on a new modern bridge and saddle and take time to put in the guitar, this help to hear a improvement.
If not, you know you loose money and time

I agree with you; I was just offering a less expensive option to the OP if he was dead-set on trying it. There will be very little difference in the two.

Those "Magnificent 7" models with the painted headstock had AV '58 pickups instead of the usual Twisted Tele/Broadcaster set. I think that is the root cause of the problem - I tried out 2 of them back when they were released and found them both to be very thin/tinny sounding. Then I finally got to try out an actual AV '58 Tele and found the same thing - I just don't care for that particular pickup compared to the Broadcaster that was normally in an American Standard, or the pickups in the AV '52 or the AV '64 (the AV '64 is my favorite among the AV models).

Oldgretschguy, I will even go a bit further.
You will hear absolutely no difference between the Standard bridge and the Deluxe bridge, as any conceivable difference in the amplified sound produced will be far beyond the ability of the human ear to perceive.
Now if you want to get rid of the bridge due to the excessive and unattractively positioned Fender logo, and the somewhat pedestrian looking bridge saddles, go for it.

This is a perfect analysis of your problem, assuming that your guitar has the AV '58 pickups.
I will certainly defer to John C on that.
I tried the AV '58 and AV '64 Telecasters when they came out, in an A / B trial on the same amp that I own, with the same settings that I normally use.
My perception was that the AV '58 pickups sounded weak, compared to the AV '64 Telecaster and the 2009 AV '52 Telecaster that I own.
So, I would change the pickups if you don't like the sound
