As far as I know, the Squier VM '72 Tele Thinline only comes in sunburts and natural finishes at the moment. I've no idea on what Fender plans in the future.

But why do you find contacting Fender difficult..?

'Cause there is no red Thinline built in 72 and the series's name is Vintage Modified 72 ?
IMO, nobody ask for red thinline

Actually, rockstar256 just did. And he/she/it probably isn't alone, since Fender has made several Thinlines in CAR in the past.
And there's even one model in the menu right, the MIM Deluxe Tele® Thinline. That of course doesn't come with '72 style WRH-Reissue pickups - it's not even routed to accept humbuckers.
