I have gone back and forth on whether to add a Bigsby Trembolo on my tele. I do not do a lot of whammy work but may want to. Any thoughts either way?

Maybe you'd like a b-bender instead of the Bigsby ?

I like the look of the Bigsbys. If you think you are going to use it then by all means yes. :D

I have a tele with a bigsby and it is great. It pretty much stays in tune and even though changing the strings can be a challenge. If you use a tremelo, you'll love what this can do. It also gives you a lot of range in terms of music you can play. Early rock 'N roll, rockabilly, country, blues, etc, etc...

The Bigsby comes with it's own bridge. Its part of the mechanism.

Dont get the Bigsby it just detunes your guitar and doesnt give you a great sound anyway. Its only advantage is the vintage look you get but that isnt worth messing up your guitar.

Nah, don't do it. You'll be wasting time tuning, then tuning, then tuning again. It may look cool, but I just don't think it's worth it. Bigsby's are great on a big jazz box, but that's 'bout it.

How true. I owned a pre CBS tele with a stock Bigsby. The body was not drilled for the string-thru bridge. I wish I had kept the guitar and put a top loading (non-trem) bridge on it.
