Hello Nikikija,

There will be a long line for a Springsteen
signature if it's ever released.

I'm sure Fender would like to make one
but Bruce is the Boss with his name and
I suppose he hasn't consented for it's use.

Cheers.

Who knows, it seems to be the opinion that Bruce won't endorse guitars. We know he is known as a Fender Tele and Takaminie acoustic player and marshall amps. Will there ever be a Bruce Esquite/Telecaster...I thhink it might just happen. He is mellowing and seems to be in touch with his fans. If Fender were to donate the proceeds for a food bank or some other charity, he might just let them make a limited edition model.

Marshall amps? I could have missed his use of them. He doesn't sound like a Marshall guy to me, but I have been wrong before. I know he used some Fender Bassmans. Here is a link where the amps are mentioned:

I'm sure that could change during the years.

His guitars are all customized/modified, so it might be difficult to design just "one" signature model.

He modifies all his guitars so they are water proofed because of how much he sweats. As for the famous butterscotch Esquire/Tele, I know he has or had a power boost installed because when he was hooked up to cables back in the day, he would be all over the place and he needed to do that. I also believe he has Joe Bardens installed. I don't see any problem with Fender modifying the guitar as it is now. I am sure it doesn't have to be stock Fender for them to re-issue any artist model, especially Bruce's. When that article came out in 1981, he used to play through the Fender Bassman amps, I can't remember if it was two or four amps. His present Marshall amps are sitting right under the drum riser for all to see.

The following information is taken from "Musician" Magazine, No. 169,
November 1992. It was an insert box accompanying a Springsteen interview. Not sure if the rig is the same today as it was in 92.
by Bill Flanagan.

BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN's vocal mike is an Onyx capsule with a
Sony transmitter. He plays Hohner Marine Band harmonicas.
His main guitar is a 1953 Fender Esquire. Onstage he also
uses Telecasters from '54, '58 and a new acquisition from
'63 with a decal of a naked oriental woman on the back. That
one was rented as a prop for a photo shoot in New York. Lat-
er on Bruce couldn't get it out of it his head, finally
telling Kevin Buell, his guitar tech, "I don't know what it
sounds like but it felt great." Unfortunately all Bruce knew
about the guitar was that it was "a black Tele with a naked
lady." It was tracked through the photographer to the shop
where it was rented, but it was already sold. Bruce bought
it back from the guy who bought it. Bruce uses a Samson
wireless system which passes through a Rockman SP-1OO sus-
taining preamp on its way to a single Marshall cabinet (with
four 12s) which is miked with a Shure SM57 and a 341. Bruce
is almost apologetic about how simple his effects are. "l
have a very fundamental set-up on the guitar. There's a
loud button and a louder one and a louder one than that --
and that's it! The elaborate guitar set-ups are amazing!
There's a wall! A rack of things that all do something. I'd
like to know what all that stuff does but it's too late now.
It allows you an enormous amount of control but I don't know
if I have the patience to sit down and learn it." Bruce's
three options are a Boogie Mark 2 for leads, a SansAmp, and
a Boss digital delay. Sitting under the stage, activated by
hand by a tech on special occasions, are a Boss Turbo-Over-
drive pedal (OD-2), a Boss flanger (BF-2) and a Boss power
supply and master switch (PSM-5). On his electric guitars
Bruce uses Dean Markley strings (.010, .013, .016, .030,
.038, .048). Bruce, plays Takamine acoustics with D'Addario strings.

Oh, are we talkin' a marshall speaker cabinet instead of an amp? I had heard about the 4x12 marshall cabinets in the past. I also see Bruce uses a Rockman. That is all I use. I have it mounted in another of Sholtz's products called a Rockmount.
