Hello,

Recently I've purchased second hand avri 52 online.
The seller said that it's authentic and no modification has been made.
I suspect that the pickups replaced and maybe pots and switch.

I'm not familiar with this model and would appreciate your help figuring which parts are original and which replaced?

Thanks in advanced,
Tulip.

Hi Tulip,
The Volume pot says "1 MEG," has a second capacitor, and the wires are taped for some reason.
None of that should be factory original, but I can't specifically help you with the rest.
It should have a 250K Volume pot, and it should sound "bright" with that Volume pot.
The bridge pickup has a brass bottom which looks generally as though it may be correct.
You can check the serial number with Fender customer service, which can, at a minimum, at least date the bridge.

not an expert, but .. I have NEVER seen a factory solder job look THAT bad (the 1meg pot which as pointed out, isn't making sense, should be 250k.) it should look a lot more like the tone pot. And I expect that tape would never be used, and I see some minor burn marks on the wiring... at least 1....

IMHO that control panel is just a mess.

I agree, the seller is either miss informed or full of crap. someone's been in there noodling.

Oh, I have seen worse solder jobs. Trust me on that. :)

Nevertheless, the pot has been changed, modern caps added, and possibly other changes too.

I don't think there's much, if any, original wiring or pickups in there...
