Hey, friends. I'm considering getting a new Telecaster Elite but I have a question. I generally play a tele with 3 single coil pups in it. I know that most of the American Deluxe's had the route under the pickguard for the 3rd middle pup if you wanted to add that option. I was just wondering if anyone here has knowledge on whether the Elite model has this option or not. Thanks in advance!!! :)

Yep, the Elite Tele bodies for sale on Ebay have the middle single coil rout.

I cannot speak for the Elite, but my 2015 Deluxe is routed for bridge and neck pups, no middle pup.

The problem will likely be finding a pickguard that fits 3 pickups. The Elite isn't compatible with other Tele pickguards:

The only difference is that there's the cutout for the truss rod adjuster, and you could do what Fender have done to the one in the photo, and that's cut it out by hand.
Whoever cut out the pictured scratchplate didn't make any effort to match up the corners of the cutout.

You can get a custom pickguard made to your specification at pickguards.com.
Call them and they will work with you.
It used to be a $10.00 up charge from a stock style pickguard.

From an esthetics point of view, I recommend a Lace Sensor Chrome Dome as the middle pup.
It will also compliment your noiseless pickups.
You can buy one (1) Stratocaster sized pickup directly from Lace.

Unfortunately, Lace does not give you mounting screws and tubes/springs, so you will have to get those elsewhere.

Look again. The right side looks square due to the angle, but if you follow the top edge of the mother-of-toilet-seat, it's rounded just like the left side. This is not a hand cut, but CNC.

Cutting a pickguard by hand is not something I'd recommended unless the cutter has experience. I'd rather recommend doing routing work, because that will be covered by the pickguard, whereas pickguard flaws are there for everyone to see.

I stand corrected. I needed to restring Ulysses and do some other maintenance this evening and removed the pickguard. As you can see, it is routed for middle pickup as well as for a humbucker at the neck.

Arth1, I know that comprehension isn't one of your strong points, so I will point out to you again that I previously outlined a solution to the pickguard problem as follows:

Your ad hominems are getting tiresome. Yes, you can get a 3rd party to make a pickguard for you; that should be obvious. But from what I can tell, this particular vendor happens to require outlines for creating custom shape pickguards. Unless you have a 3 hole pickguard with a truss rod cutout, it's up to you to design and draw it.

I'd go to a luthier instead - someone who can make the custom work look good without putting the design responsibility on the client.

For something as simple as putting a rectangular access area in the top of a Nashville style pickguard, you simply call Pickguard.com, tell them the dimensions of the rectangle, specify a 1/4" diameter rounded corners (or whatever size you want) and they will produce a perfect pickguard.

It is highly doubtful that he would have to fax them a diagram of the opening, but he could do that, since he does have a pickguard with the truss rod wheel opening.
What is it that you seem to think is so complicated, arth1???

Before going to a luthier, with such a simple request, I would drill a couple holes and use a Dremel tool and be done with it...; something that for some unknown reason, you apparently think is impossible to do yourself without butchering the pickguard.......

Just sand it. Here's a picture of something I'm putting together with the body and the neck of '16 Elite Telecaster. I used a standard Telecaster pickguard and just sanded the port for the truss rod adjuster. *shrug*
not that hard.
