Hi, I really have been wanting the 72 Classic series thinline but they do not have one in town I can play. I have heard various opinions on the neck. Is it close to a 70's classic series reissue strat? Or perhaps closer to a nashville or american tele?

I'm not sure what it's close to, but I have one. It is a small radius (7.25") neck with narrow ("vintage") frets, and a lacquered back that really needs some sanding if you want to play fast.
In my opinion, it's better suited for chord play than shredding.

This doesn't address the pickups you are looking at, but it does address the neck radius and the vintage fret size.

AFAICT, you cannot get the 72 Thinline Classic Series with a rosewood neck, only single piece maple. Totally different feel.

Different feel, same playability......, unless you have a bad fretboard......
