My single coil is 14k in output.

I assume that with a 14K resistance pickup, you are using a noiseless stacked humbucker, or a rails style noiseless humbucker, T-style bridge pup.
What pickup are you using?

In the diagram, it would be the following:
1. Volume only
2. Volume & tone w/cap
3. Volume with resistor

I assume that you are using a CTS / Fender 3-way switch.
When putting together my initial post, I physically looked at both CTS and Oaks Grigsby 3-way switches and compared them to the diagrams and descriptions of switch positions in my original post.
I described the switch positions in this circuit, as consistent with the following:

1. (Top) - Volume with resistor
2. Volume & tone w/cap
3. (Bottom) - Volume only

Are you considering number "1" to be the bottom switch position, or is your 3-way switch wiring different from the diagram below?

Premier Guitar describes the Eldred Mod, 3-way switch and circuit, in this linked article:
http://www.premierguitar.com/articles/T ... ire_Wiring
The CTS / Fender 3-way switch and circuit is as follows:

So, you're using a Stat pickup in your Esquire?

Nah Mick, I just thought I'd copy the OP's M.O.
Make an empty statement then throw my teddy out the pram when I didn't get a response in the timeframe I wanted.

You've kept tedddy safe, his life is in your hands
