Ever try a Tele with a full FAT neck ?
I picked this Tele up on Reverb.com and wasn't sure how i would like such a chunky neck.
The neck is Very fast and somehow has improved ability to hit every note of faster riffs.
Any other stories on Fat necks ??? I believe its an allparts Chunky Tele that was painted to have a matching headstock with the body

Beautiful guitar, I love that color...

I've never had a problem with playing speed (not that I'm a particularly fast player) or hand fatigue with a fatter neck--in fact, the fatter the neck, the less slop in my playing...

Congrats and Happy New Guitar Day!

Yes it does seems that I'm less sloppy on the fat neck too !

The decal was there when i got it so.............................

The body is a made in Japan Fender by the way with the belly cut and no forearm cut and the pickups are older Seymour Duncan Broadcaster pups (very nice sound !!! )

Here she is plugged into my Refurbed Silverface Super Reverb
I used my Route 66 Comp and my Signa Drive with the gain at less than one.

Back in the basement while we finish the restoration of the studio / Family room 8)

Thanks Mike !
I think it sounds best with the comp as a clean boost only
The signa drive adds the tiniest bit of hair to the notes and has minimal effect as far as grind at the extreme low gain setting i used on the video

The more i play the thick / chunky neck the more I think it improves my playing so..........

But my C shaped Strat (50th) is still my favorite guitar.

Sure enough it was a Fender licensed Allparts Fat Tele neck

Dig that bridge and pickup !
Ya they did indeed have the ground wire taped to the bridge plate ! , I guess the bridge screws are all that would normally hold it so.........

I was told that bridge Pickup was a Seymour duncan STL-1b but I don't think so......
Any Clues ????

Found an answer on another forum in regards to the pickup

It is a Seymour duncan Antiquity scatter wound custom (signed) and yes it does sound as good as all the hype !
