Hello everyone. To everyone who has installed a bigsby on their tele before, I need some help! So far everything's been going ok and I've screwed in the bridge plate. I am now up to the part where you drill the large holes for the bridge bushings. In the instructions, I need to use a 9mm drill bit to do this. However, I only have an 8mm and a 10mm. The 8 is too small and the bushings wont fit inside the hole. Presumably the 10 will work but I'm wondering: will this make the bushings too loose?! Could i simply glue them into a 10mm hole? Has anyone else used a different sized drill bit to do this before? Any help MUCH APPRECIATED

Why chance it. Buy a 9mm bit....they can't be too expensive.

Don't use the 10mm and glue. The glue will eventually lose its ability to hold it in place . Go buy a 9mm bit and do it right!

Always follow two simple rules:

Measure twice, cut once.
Always use the right tool for the job.

this kit allows you to install your bigsby on your tele without making a single modification

I put one on (got the kit made for) a les paul standard, and it works great.
