I am hoping this is permitted... i am going to check out a very nice maple fretboard 2012 MIM tele tomorrow. The price is $325 (no tax or anything like that... on a local board). I know that the MIM strats generally go from $225 (super deal) to about $350 which is kinda high range. Can anyone tell me do the MIM teles follow the same price arc? I have a lot of guitars but as of yet have never owned a Tele so i figured it might be a great place to start (used MIM). Is that price about standard for a nice example? thanks everyone

The price is good but I would try before buy in this case.

It depends on which model and which year.
The going price at CompUSA for a 2-5 year old used MIM Tele Standards in great or better condition is $299 without case/bag - somewhat more with the original candy. So if that's what this is, it's a bit on the dear side.

Nevertheless, MIM teles are generally a good buy. They're a big step up from the Squiers and far east models, and the law of diminishing returns means that they're almost as good as the Japanese/US models, for a lot less money. Play it, and if you like it, buy it. Waiting for weeks or months to find one used at a store and save a couple of hamburgers worth of money just isn't worth it.
