Congrats on your new Tele. Hope you have years of enjoyment from it. :D

I was hoping that this conversation was going in another direction. Since it didn't, let's take it there.

Browsing the (non-custom) Telecaster products on this site, I can spend anywhere from $499 to $1,999 for my new Fender fix. Is the cost, top to bottom, worth the grand-and-a-half difference? What are the relative worths of the features that drive the price and how do they improve the guitar?

I have my opinions, but am interested in what this community thinks.

Cheers!

Mike

We've hashed it over many times on here. The consensus usually amounts to .... "Whatever floats your boat." Just as many feel there is a worthwhile difference as those who feel there is no difference ... or at least no difference worth the money.

I said this on another thread but perhaps it bears repeating. Something is worth something only if someone is willing to pay for it.

Thanks BMW. Sorry to pick at old scabs. New here.

Oh, and I tend to agree with you.

Mike
