Thanks to the advice given here I fixed my last wiring problem (pickups out of phase) even though the schematic from Seymour Duncan showed different. Come to find out that Fender winds their pickups backwards...go figure. That being the case I was wondering if some of you experts could look at the schematic below and tell me if I can use my existing 250K pots and install the bridge hotrail - or should I buy new 500's?

Thanks again in advance!

Bob

Folks are better at replying to these wiring questions over at the Strat Forum, aren't they?

Which is where I posted my apology to Shawn over my mis-use of her name...

Cheers - C

If you think your guitar sounds a little muddy or not bright enough, then yea switch to 500k pots. They are generally used more for humbuckers to brighten the sound. But if you like the way your guitar sounds now, I say don't mess with it. Either way its an easy cheap swap so you can experiment if you want. Hope this helps.
