Hi,
I tried this guitar in a small music's shop. It sounds very good but I am not able to understand which strato is?
it has a strange hsh pickup configuration.
I post some pictures, could you help to understand something about this guitar? The serial number of the guitar is Z019623

Yeah strange...
The neckplate number indicates early noughties.
Having that on the plate rather than on the headstock is unusual but the badge is from 2006.
I would be wary... :D

I'd be wary, too. The surround to the truss rod adjuster access hole is painted on. As far as I know, USA Strats have walnut inlay around the hole, not black paint.

Well spotted - it's a MiM neck.
The rest of the guitar is likely to be MiM too.
Somebody has made an effort to deceive an unwary buyer.

Hi,
Thank you for your help :D
What's about the pickup configuration? It's the first time I see an hsh installed on a strato...

It's just a guitar someone assembled from various parts. The neck is an MIM with a fake USA headstock decal; it may possibly a 2006 neck since it has that little 60th Anniversary of Fender medallion on it - or of course since the real headstock decal was replaced with a fake it could be that whomever did that also just stuck the 60th Anniversary medallion on it.

The neck plate is 100% fake - the "F" logo like that was only used during the 1970s and early 1980s - that was a CBS-era logo. It would not have a 2000-style serial number on it.

Since it has been modified, then I'm sure the pickups were done when the rest of it was modded.

I agree regarding the MiM neck with fake decal. Wouldn't a neck with that decal have had two T string trees as well?

It is worth next to nothing as you can't even establish it's true identity in order to return it to its legitimate specification.

On the other hand, if it is dirt cheap, and plays well, and you don't care if people in the know know you are playing a fake, and don't try to sell it on as a MIA. ....

And considering the poor quality of cut out in the scratch plate for the humbuckers I wouldn't like to think what butchery has gone off beneath on the body.

No.
It's the same decal as found on my MiM Strat, and that only had one string tree on originally (it has two now).

Thanks for all your feedbacks, I really appreciate. I didn't know which where the parts and details to check to understand the type of guitar and its story
