I was curious what the set of Fat 50's I have sitting on my bench would measure. They came out at: Neck 6.28, Mid 6.40, Bridge 6.41.
I was surprised that they were so low and so close together. These are not mounted in a pickguard and not hooked up to any pots or anything. Has anyone else measured theirs?

Fender spec is
Neck: 6.0k ohms
Middle: 6.3k ohms
Bridge: 6.2k ohms
Your readings are close enough as temperature and meter accuracy can affect DC resistance readings.

Thanks, I wasn't sure where I'd find the specs, so I measured them and as I said I was a bit surprised by what I got. They're great sounding pups no matter what they measure.

You read DC resistance , this only one thing of few that make pickup sound .

+1

The Fat 50's are not known to be "hot" pickups -- more like a Custom '54 set but with more robust mids and bottom end.
