Anyone out there already have one of these? If so, how do you like it.

I toured the Fender factory in July and saw two of the 10 for '15 guitars. I've been trying to decide between them ever since: the Shortboard Mustang

or the Longboard Strat.

The Strat just won out. I must have ordered GuitarCenter.com's last one, because now they're sold-out.

The Strat looks like it has a nice deep belly cut to the back! I wished they would keep the curves of the '57 Strats, so much more comfortable. I kind of like the Longboards, nice idea by Fender.

I played at Longboard Strat at a jam recently and it felt
and sounded really fine.

Hi, i have bought one...literally only a couple of weeks ago thinking i had missed the boat. She looks great, even better close up. Plays well and pick ups are well chosen. Only question is for me is keeping the body looking good. Its oiled, and I am not certain what is the best way to keep it maintained.

Any suggestions?

The longboard strat is a bit perplexing to me. It's a HHH in HSS disguise, with N3s in the middle and neck positions. Why not N3s all the way?
And the full-sized humbucker is a "shawbucker", which was designed to run at 500k with automatic switching to 250k when disengaged or run in S1 switching with a single coil. But here, it's paired with other humbuckers and there's no S1 switch, so what's the benefit?
And there's a single tone control for all the pickups. Which is especially odd when mixing different pickups, which is when separate tone controls makes more sense.
So an oddball. It may play very well, and the wood mounted pups should give it a more resonant sound. But still an oddball.

The dual P-90 Mustang makes more sense to me.
