Which current production model is widest at the nut (or are they mostly similar)? Curious if anything approaches the specs of say Allan Holdsworth's '70s Strat (replacement John Birch custom ebony fingerboard neck, two DiMarzio PAF or Dual Sound pickups I think...). Perhaps more a custom shop thing... Thanks!

Anything with an LSR roller nut is 42.8mm wide.
The American Standard models have 42.8mm nuts too.
Everything else appears to be 42mm.

Not to be snarky, and maybe some folks have fingers much more sensitive than mine, but is 8/10's of a millimeter (approximately 3/100's of an inch) truly going to be that noticeable?

Perhaps, perhaps not. I can feel the difference on my Mia and Mim but more because of the way the extra width of the MIA impacts on the shape of the neck. Considering the string spacing is split over 6 I'm certainly not aware of them being closer together on the MiM. Who is to say the nut is cut differently between the two? So many variables.
