Post subject: Do I have the '06 MIM Standard Strat "upgrades" ?

I have heard that were numerous upgrades put in place for the 2006+ Fender MIM Standard Strats (primarily in the saddles & tailpiece). My MIM Standard Strat was purchased in 2006 as 2005 model (likely made in very late 2005).

See attached pics. Do I have the '06+ upgrades?

best way to tell if serial # starts MZ6 and if it has the silver diamond on head stock

I hate to be the one to say it but that block doesn't look like the upgraded one.

You are correct. I went and saw some Strats today. I could see the difference in the tailpiece block.

But I can just drop in a used tailpiece from an 06+, right?

I think the bridge block is not fender

I found a block for sale from an '08 for $12.
