I know this seems strange (to me at least) but my Eric Clapton Electronics produces the highest output of any of my guitars (LP, ES-335, P22) (???) Which is cool in some ways, except, it messes with my gain structure when I switch guitars.

Does anyone know of an internal trim pot to adjust this?? (NOTE: I'm speaking of the non-boosted setting of the mid-range boost pot;) Otherwise I love the tone and playability. This is a Custom Shop guitar, not a "Clapton" but I'm assuming they used the same package:)

Thanks in advance

There is quite a useful feature on all Strats, it's called the volume knob.

If this isn't sufficient leave the internals of the Strat well alone and change the other guitars. Or get a TC Electronics Spark (clean boost) to use with the others.

Hey GJ...that's a problem with active electronics vs passive Pups...

...especially with the Clapton Mid Boost...it's attuned to his ear for a "compression" sound.

Unfortunately it has no internal trim pot...and you can't turn it off...just down.

I start with my amp...lower the "middle" a little more than I have to...

...while the Guitar's Mid Boost Control is all the way down...

...I adjust pedals to keep from overloading the signal...at a high volume.

But the short answer for an easier way to switch guitars...it's gonna be a little too "middy"... or not enough...

...find a happy medium with your volume & tone pots...or you'll have to adjust it all to suit your ears...for each guitar.

Maybe a boost pedal...like John recommended...may work better for you.

Bearing in mind the volume is a bit louder - compared to a regular Strat with passive electronics - because of the active circuitry.

The ideal solution might be a mid boost "preset" switch allowing players to preset the volume during a solo.
