I'm not that taken with the finish based on the pictures. It looks like it was coated with treacle.

That is perhaps the thing with clear finished as, how good the guitar looks is very much a reflection on how good the timber looks. Ash can be somewhat bland and is associated with cheap furniture so isn't necessarily going to be a great starting point.

I guess what I'm trying to say is I don't like it .... but that has nothing to do with anything and each to his own.

Still, unless Fender goofed on the serial number, that should be a Custom Vintage Heavy Relic Stratocaster in 3-Tone Sunburst finish manufactured 06/2007.

That isn't a heavy relic or a burst body.

The plot thickens. I said I wasn't happy with the finish on the body.

Hi,
Yesterday I played this stratocaster!
Great strat, very nice sounding instrument and well crafted. Very sticky thin skin finish in nitro on the neck.
I checked the COA and serial numbers. All seems okay.
But I decided not to buy this strat. The neck was kind of thin to me, I will be checking some more...

Thanks for all the help and kind regards.
