Great work Danagos. It looks good. Yes the sound is certainly an intriguing one. It makes me wonder why they don't wire all strats up so that you have that possibility of bridge + neck straight from the factory? :?: I suppose it's more work for the assembly people to add in that capability.

I read another interesting strat mod on the Seymour Duncan site: It said the middle pickup on a strat on it's own is sometimes a kind of boring tone so shows you how to wire up the selector switch so that when in the middle position you get bridge + neck. Only trouble is you do sacrifice the middle pickup on it's own position which i probably wouldn't want to do. :|

I have a DiMarzio Area 58 in the middle and love it...the P/P switch is undetectable...and doesn't "Suck Tone"

That's a cool strat danagos 8) Is that the latest build you spoke about? I've never put a whole guitar together myself. I hope to someday though as it's a lot of fun choosing parts and then fine tuning things. I'm an amp person mostly and only recently started getting into working on my guitars.

I've got the full compliment of beginner Amps...finally settled on a Blues Jr w/Bill M mods and a Cannabis Rex speaker

Yup...that's the Hot Rod Brownie...12 y/o Clapton Neck refretted by martian w/Semi Jumbos & Fender Vintage Hot Rod 50's body...

Lightweight Ash (under 4 lbs) in 2T SB w/Nitro finish...the Hot Rod part is the 2 Pt Tremolo & Neck Plate.
