What is the simplest low cost means of playing one guitar thru two amps?
New LE MIA strat into a drri, and into a PTP Blues deville.
Thanks

I'm curious as to how you will solve the bias issue.
The Deluxe Reverb Reissue is a 22 watts versus the Blues Deville is a 60 watts.
Trying to equate output is going to be difficult.

Why not just take one of the amps and run them into two separator cabinets. The Blues Deville will be more than adequate for that... You want to run two amps of similar configuration if you do, or you'll probably be spending a lot of time twiddling knobs...

Actually it is a great combination, both amps have volume knobs. With the DRRI cranked a bit, and the BDvl turned down a bit, you can have a great mix with a Y cable, or switch between bluesy distortion and clean, or clean up the DRRI with a prudent tube choice and use the Drive channel of the BDvl, and other possibilities using an AB switch.

Thanks for the tip on that Fender aby box. I was concerned about excessive noise when using the Fender, as it's description does'nt state whether it has isoated outputs as stated here:

So - how does this translate to ABY boxes? Well, any passive, non-isolated AB or ABY (like the ones mentioned so far) will have a common ground for both outputs, so the risk of ground loops is there. How big the risk is, doesn't really depend on the ABY. It depends on your specific amps, in the specific location you're in (the same two amps can be quiet in one location, and hum like crazy at the next) and even the cables. The only way to be sure you will not ever get ground loop hum is to get a box with isolated outputs. Even though it will hurt a little financially, I'd suggest looking at the Lehle Dual or Radial Twin City.

A little noise would'nt be an issue, as both amps are themselves quiet, but has me wondering if by chance MY two amps might be too noisy going through a non-isolated output aby box.

2 sure fire options.

1: A stereo Delay pedal. I set up a line 6 DL4 with a Marshall JTM60 2x12 w/2x12 JTM cab, and a HR Deville 4x10)
it sounds huge. you could use a chorus pedal too, as long as it was capable of stereo. (a L and R output)

2: ABY switch (a good one will not mess with your tone, look to Radial). I have a morely, and it also works just fine. no ground loop..

I use the above. It is so close in construction to a Moore pedal I had that I can't imagine it didn't come from the same factory. Either way it does a great job and doesn't take up much room.

I use two amps fairly consistently as it gives a better sound when using a Looper.

It's internet truth that Mooer is the manufacturer of F-micros. But I bet there will be no positive/negative confirmation from Fender - same as with strings, picks & other stuff.
The funny thing is, in my 'hood you can usually get the F-logoed ones a few € cheaper...

I got pretty much the cheapest A/B/Y box available, and it works without any problems whatsoever (hum/noise/level drop).

Indeed. It is the same size and shape, has the same button and washer and all the packaging is identical bar the sticker. I sold my Mooer  micro pedal though as it didn't really do it for me and was replaced with a TC Electronics Mojo Mojo.

The ABY pedal is great though (who ever makes it). The colour changing LED is ideal as I have it red on my Ditto recording side and green on the direct side.

Picks, strings, and tubes.
These are commonly made in only a few factories world-wide and re-branded. Fender does not own a pedal factory, or a string factory, or a tube factory.

"Simplest low cost means"?

The DRRI has two "Normal" inputs, right? And these are simply wired in parallel, aren't they?
Plug the guitar cord into the left input, and then run another regular 1/4" cord from the right input of the DRRI to the (whatever) input of the Blues Deville.

Back in the early '70s, it's what we (my circle of acquaintances) called "slaving" the amps. The only issue I can think of is that you might be slightly loading down the guitar's output, but so what? I dunno, what are the input impedances of the amps?
