Saw this on the phoenix craigslist. Anyone know anything about this model? Is it worth the asking price?

Nice looking guitar, but $2200 seems a bit high for a gussied up American Standard, FSR or not.

It's a DZ serial, so it's a Deluxe. Limited Edition for AIMM (American Independent Music Merchants).
The pics are so bad I can't even see if the headstock is matching (should be).
Some sources (sellers) claim only 80 were made, others speak of 200, and it could very well be 250 (I think that's a common run for Fender FSR's).

Asking prices for those can be in the 4000$ area. It's a guitar you seldom see, and most have probably been on display more than on stage - it sorta throws bling on your face

The final decision is up to you. Want it for playing, test it if possible. Want to speculate on possible value raise, take your chances. If you just gotta have it, and you can spend the money without your kids starving, go for it.

Not my cup of tea but sounds like a good buy (particularly compared to the $9K one in the other thread).

There are a great many other Strats I could spend $2K on, and play without reservation though.

Certainly a nice thing to hang on the wall if that's your bag.

A small query though - is that a push in trem arm? Were they around 13 years ago?

That would be rather interesting if there were "lipstick" covers for regular single coils....

Remember the Strat Plus (& + Deluxe) models..? Those had a pop-in trem arm in the eighties.
On a 2002 AmDeluxe... definitely.

BTW, on the "bad pics" subject again; can't even be absolute sure if it's a contoured heel. Should be.

A bit late to the party... That is a contoured heel, 4th pic clearly shows....
It actually would make a wonderful wedding event stratocaster
A white tux and you'd feel right at home....
