Dang it, Danagos. Now I won't be able to sleep thinkin' about it

...I thought that mildly funny :D until I noticed the time sent as 3:31am...now it's kinda sad :(

...just go ahead and get it  not worth losing sleep over

No need to feel sad, Danagos; but, thanks for the sympathy.

I used to work with different time zones, stopwatch in hand, on a 24/7 call basis, and I sometimes came home at midnight, wound down for an hour, hit the sack, only to be unexpectedly called at 3 in the morning to gather my crew for a remote telecast with someone at the other end of the country or half a world away.

Now that I'm retired my fixed income doesn't allow me 9 Grand axes (yet alone 2, Arjay  ) and, since I am a man of leisure now, I can stay up with my reading and cookies, and sleep in with Sweet Dreams :D

Who's got guitars worth nine large, FSB? I'm retired as well and my paltry pension plus a pitiful social security payment totals a meager $38K a year. Barely enough to keep gas in my old Chevy and put a pizza on the dinner table once in a while.

Ain't retirement grand?

+1000

I have a 5 Y/O granddaughter so I'm down with you on that. She loves her papa's guitars (keeps nagging on me to built a purple one).

Danagos and Arjay: Glad to hear that you both have great grandkids, and I'm certain that they are lucky to have you.

Me? Unfortunately, no grandkids; but, my wife is recently retired, and the baking keeps comin' to the ever growing fat guy.

I do have twin great nieces, though, and I'm betting with those grandkids of yours, the baking and goodies can't be too far away.

Cheers!

From your lips to God's ear!

Every week it's a different treat. Molasses cookies......double-fudge brownies......peach cobbler......bear claws......Dutch apple pie......

The dietary abuse never ceases!

I don't think this is from the same series as Alain's guitar. Alain's comes from a series that did not have white plastic knobs. Nor do I believe that Alain would deal on eBay. Somewhere in the Custom Shop Forum archives is the thread he posted when he was negotiating that deal. It was very 'foreign intrigue' to say the least.
