I'd like to have this one. I have two that the same builder made for me but would trade both for this one.

I agree with Shimmilou...but I think I could narrow it down to just two: Two Tone Sunburst and Taos Turquoise both with maple necks!

I have an AmDlx maple neck, ash body, with the faded cherry burst finish; the finish is translucent so that the wood grain shows through. When I was shopping, I was certain that I wanted the 3-color sunburst, but once I saw the faded cherry burst on the ash body, that was it...

Now you have me thinking. I'm currently having a car painted a nice medium to dark metallic blue. Now I want a guitar to match. Stay tuned, I'm pretty sure this urge is not going to subside without GA Satisfaction.

Something like these?

He does ones with the graphics carried through the neck to the headstock. I've been thinking I want/need one but not really into the pink camo or the skulls and can't think of a good theme for it. Ocean waves or a Hubble view shouldn't be a problem for him.

I'm preferrential to stained, natural wood finishes with a satin gloss. There's a few solid colors I like, (Daphne Blue, Ice Blue Metallic, Tangerine, Sunset Metallic), but I'm not real big on solid colors.

When I pick up my Tele I'm going to try to talk him into selling me a finished body from this spalted maple series. Except a Strat bridge. And a Tele style jack - would hate to cover that wood up with a Strat jackplate. Putting it together should be a good project for next winter.

[Insert non-family-friendly color selection here] would be my top three finish choices on my dream Strat with an HH configuration \m/

Yeah! Very nice examples. I have a feeling that with graphic art being what it is today, we'll see more of it. Thanks for that. I'm not into the skull bit neither, but I get it.

Oh, that I could.

Think if you Email him a picture he'll put whatever you want on the guitar. Prices for that series aren't bad and he does good work. He made the one Clapton is holding a few posts up.

Considering the printed finishes that Fender did for the American rounders teams I would quite like a printed finish representing riveted aluminium panels in a retro aircraft look.

Thinking about it - Custom Shop printed designs - your artwork printed on your guitar. Awesome. I claim the intellectual rights.

Man claim that thing! You are the G-Man, action that in a dual purpose spa-bath

Maybe the black & white flames idea at 5.00... but chrome flames on black, I can see it now, in the distance lol.

I don`t prefer all that graphic art on guitars.
If I really could chose one finish I would either like Pablo Picasso or Friedensreich Hundertwasser to paint my guitars. But unfortunately both are gone :? :(

My MiM was done pretty much as that, although they lay the paint on the surface by hand rather than print it, or use a transfer.

I actually prefer the swirl because every body produced is absolutely unique.

I still prefer the sunburst but, of the 3, the swirl comes in a good second.

I did like the Clapton art guitar and think anything in the style of Roy Lichtenstein would look killer.
