What's up guy's. New to the site and the guitar world. I just won a new Strat from a local radio station contest. I can't play yet but I'm working on it. I also got two months of lessons to get me started. We'll see what happens, I always wanted to learn how to play. I'm taking all suggestions to make it as easy as possible for a 46 year old guy. Anybody recommend any websites to help beginner get started?

Thanks

No idea what the station info matters, but I'd love to see this Strat you won! Congratulations, you must be over the moon!!!

There's tons of info out there on learning guitar, even YouTube lessons. I bought the Steve Krenz Learn and Master Guitar pack and these are excellent, they have tons of dvd's and playalong things too. Ultimate Guitar website has more tabs than you can poke a pick at, and I buy songbooks on ebay for way under retail. At the mo I'm mainly just playing the melody, only been playing a month, but am getting there. Stupid work keeps getting in the way of my playing....

It was a call in to qualify for the drawing over a several week period.

Hey man, calm down. He just wants a little more info. You are not any less annoying than him, you seem to post just to post. All of your other posts are thoughtless one liners that dont help the forum one bit. You sir, are the one that isn't going to last long on this forum.
