Hi!
I have a '96 YJM Signature Strat with an American standard bridge with the cast block saddles and their offset intonation screws.
Would the 'new' post 2008 AmStan bridge and tremolo block assembly fit on my guitar? I prefer the post 2008 two point AmStan tremolo with its centered intonation screws.

Would it drop in just fine? Does it have the sameHi!

Does it have the same measurements as the pre '08 bridge assembly?
Thanks!

I don't know but would be very surprised if it didn't as it would otherwise have required the almost imperceptible relocation of the mounting posts.

That said, although I didn't experience any issues apparently the posts are different on MIMs so things do change. .... Almost imperceptibly.

So, if I understand you right, your guitar is this model: ebay ad YJM 1996 Strat (The bridge shows well in the pics.)

The 2008-present bridge should fit just fine - I'd say 99% certainty
But: it comes with bent steel (center screw) saddles, so if you want cast ones, order separately.

Personally, I don't think centered/offset makes a significant difference, and the trem block that comes with that assy still is "standard", not "high end". (For high end, think Callaham or EKT Steel Baron...)

Thanks John.
My thoughts as well. Just can't be certain. I also wonder if the bushings for the mounting posts and the posts themselves on the 96, would accept the posts on the 08. Since I'd hate to attempt to remove them. Or even better, if I could use the 96 posts and just slip in the 08 assembly.
Does fender have a technical staff that could/would answer such questions definitively?

Yes. That's the one.
So the mounting screws should be 2 & 7/32 inch, and the saddle center or inton screws should be 2 & 1/16, center to center?
Yeah, the center vs offset inton screw and bent steel vs block are aesthetic issues. But the bent steel vs the cast block is brighter and sustains more. I have three others with the vintage saddles and there's a noticeable difference.

So any idea if fender has some person I could email for a definitive answer? Didn't look just yet.
Thanks mattis.

Like I said, on dimensions and such, it's 99% certainty - read that as "always measure before you buy".
There are multiple ways to contact Fender - but as the world is today, I won't guarantee you get to contact a wizard.

If you're in US, call "Fender Specialist": 1-844-202-0924.
Or email consumerrelations@fender.com
(And, on some visits to the product pages, I've gotten a popup chat online specialist window opening on the screen - the business hours for that seem also to be US time zones...)

Here's a nice selection of guitar parts, if you're looking for that high end feature: EKT Guitar Parts
