So, as I usually get sweaty hands, the screws at the 6th saddle on the bridge of my 2013 American Standard are a bit rusty...

I do wipe it after each play, but I guess one can't dry all the sweat from there since it's a tiny hollow screw... The rest of the screws are ok, no rust. I think the years spent playing stopbar equipped guitars made me unconsciously tend to rest my right hand on the bridge while picking...

Anyway, what do you think, should I just leave it alone or would it be better to replace the screws to keep the saddles from rust?

3 in 1 oil periodically applied with a cotton bud might help.

The whole saddle is sufficiently cheap to be considered a consumable.

Certainly a bit of oil, or furniture polish, or WD40 would slow further degradation but I wouldn't worry unduly. You will only need to turn it if you want to adjust the string height and I am assuming you already have it set just so.

If it goes to a tech they can change the saddle, if it becomes problem, or you could replace it next string change if it worries you.

I actually rather like a bit of rust and crud on a Strat - it shows that it is used. #rorygallagher

You could melt a little candle wax into the screw, should help keep out the moisture.

The rust thing is normal with the saddle screws.... I always clean the saddles when I change strings... WD-40 works well... 3-in-1 Oil is also a good choice for bridge saddles/screws... I use a cotton swap (Q-Tip) to apply/clean the saddles... works nicely.

WD40 makes a applicator that looks like a felt tip high lighter. Very useful for us guitar owners.

Or you can spray some in the cap and use a cotton bud.

WD40 is wonderful stuff unless you are intending to do any spray painting in the foreseeable future. The silicone globs float around in the air for ages an alight on all manner of stuff making a good spray finish almost impossible. I almost had a riot from the spray shop when I used some WD40 in a workshop I was running. I didn't do that again.
