Purchased this Mexican neck from eBay recently and when I got it, realized the frets are much wider and there was noticeable glue from having been re-fretted. The seller has no idea as it wasn't his guitar, he bought it for parts. Any idea what size it is and what I can expect in contrast to the way my standard frets played?

If you have access to a (digital) caliper, we don't have to throw wild guesses based on photos (although I must say the pics are good).
As a general remark: those ain't vintage sized, but don't look like ultralarge, either.

Many say sustain is better with more mass on the frets, go figure.
Bigger frets can be shaved & shined a few more times before a refret is needed.
Tall frets usually suit lighter touch, low frets (vintage style) suit players who grab the neck like a lifeline.
Bending, finger glides etc. feel either easier or more difficult.

And: those above are generalisations; it all poors down to personal preferences.

To me they look kinda like jumbos, but as jmattis said, it's kind of hard to tell from pictures...if it's really that much of a concern, just measure them.

That said, my advice would simply be this...just give it a shot. You've already got the neck...slap that sucker on a body and see whether you like it or not. As they say, ya never know until you try :-)
