I have a 1989 American Standard Strat and am considering changing the tone control wiring. Currently is has a tone control for the neck pickup and a TBX tone control that serves both the middle and bridge pickups.

I never use the TBX set above the notch @ 5 for the bridge pickup because I don't like the extra brightness it brings. So, I was wondering if I could change the controls over so that the TBX controls the neck and middle pickups and the "normal" tone pot controls the bridge pickup. I do sometimes back-off the tone on the bridge pickup so would not want to take it out of the tone circuit altogether.

Has anyone tried this and if so how does the neck pickup respond to the TBX control?
