Hi all,
I've lurked around the forum for a short time not feeling worthy of posting as I didn't have a strat.
All that's changed now! I've found a gorgeous 3 colour sunburst 60th anniversary deluxe. How anyone could sell her is beyond me and my jaw drops every time I open her case. Even the case is nice as she came in a C&G fender hardcase which is totally unmarked. All I have to do now is improve my playing by about 400% to merit having such a beauty!
So, it's off to practice...have fun everybody and stay safe.
Terry

CONGRATULATIONS on your new Strat, she sounds a beauty! :D

As for not posting 'til you had one.. I don't have mine yet, am paying her off, but this hasn't stopped me hahaa! 2 weeks 'til she's mine, and I'm already rabbiting on about and researching info on upgrading pups down the track..

There is nothing like a new Strat to get you up and playing.

really its a great motivator and it gets you wanting to play more and so you learn more and your speed and accuracy improve too.

Plus you now own the coolest guitar on the planet!!!

Congrats and welcome aboard.

Can somebody explain how or point me in the right direction to find out? I've looked in the faq, I hate being a newbie!

Greetings tegga & welcome to the fender asylum LoL, enjoy ur stay with us. Have some cookies & milk!
Be sure to post alot, learn alot, & become friends with all of us fender psychos here at the asylum. :D
To post an image in this forum find out the address to the image (out there on the web) that you want to post and put that url (address) between "image tags" for the forum... Look below.

It looks like this when you type it in: [ img]http://www.fender.com/products/prod_images/guitars/0109200800_th.png[ /img]

If I put that text above in here with no spaces & you no longer see that text, just the image:
Image
cool huh...

I don't think there is a way to upload the images to the fender forum. So the images should be uploaded somewhere else on the web and then simply use the link to them in here as I did above. Make sense?

Sup dude,
I also hav a U.S.A. 3 Color Sunburst Fender! Same year! I got it brand new! I love it. It plays good! It helps ALOT when ur in a band like me. I've been playing 4 3 years now. FENDER ROCKS! Our band is HEAVY ROCK. I also hav a ALL BLACK STRAT. It is a replica of David Gilmour's black strat. I also just ordered a SUNBURST TELECASTER.

Well talk to you l8r,
Stephen T. RAMBO

You are trying to use the url that is opening an entire webpage not the image only... right click the image and select properties to find the address to the image alone.
You put this: [ img]http://s311.photobucket.com/albums/kk465/tegga22/?action=view&current=014.jpg[ /img]
I am putting this below: [ img]http://i311.photobucket.com/albums/kk465/tegga22/014.jpg[ /img]

Here is tegga's strat:
