Hey guys, hope somebody can help me here. I am building my first DIY Strat and would like to get the wiring as close to factory correct as possible. I am building a pick guard with N3 Pickups and S1 Switch with 5 way selector switch. What gauge wires are used between the S1 Switch and the 5 Way Selector Switch? I notice the wires between the S1 AND 5 Way appear a tad skinnier than the White and black leads. Thank you for any help.

Typically in the neighbourhood of 22 - 28 AWG or so. Give or take.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

If you want to go real precise, these pages have huge pics for measuring the gauge:

Maybe the S1 is so crowded that the thinner wires are easier to fit...

Good luck figuring out the funnel cake order

+1

The amount of current is so small. Just make sure it is stranded, it is much easier to work with.

You must post pics when finished!!
