hello everyone
can you tell me where I can find the factory data of
the correct angle between the body and neck of my STRATO AMERICAN STANDARD 2011?

I'm trying to make an optimal setup ...
Tnks,

A.

There is no factory data as such, but there is this setup guide http://www2.fender.com/support/articles ... tup-guide/

The "normal stock" Fender angle is close to zero degrees

But: you are approaching the whole situation from the back end.
Normally, you first set up (or just check) a Strat, then you decide if the neck needs more or less angle,
shim (or Micro-Tilt™) the neck accordingly, and do the setup again.

I'm just saying that, as a main rule, the neck angle only needs adjusting if something elsewhere in the setup demands it.
For instance, quoting from the setup guide: "in situations where the string height is high and the action adjustment is as low as the adjustment will allow".

In normal cases, you just check that the neck plate screws sit snug in their holes. (No need to overtighten, just check they aren't loose).

I read your other post, too (on pickups & pickup height). So, I'm guessing you don't have very much experience on setting up Strats, and maybe these come in handy:
Read the setup guide (link above in stratmangler's post) a couple of times, so you get the general idea.
Follow the setup guide (what you do first, second, third...)
And: set the guitar to the "factory specs" of the setup guide when you do it the first time.

many thanks ... now I understand
my native language is Italian....

thanks to state and also for the advice

What you say is true
I do not have much experience, and this is my first Stratocaster
inside the site fender.com not specified which pickups are mounted in the American standard of 2011

now I have disabled the MicroTilt (perfect contact between the handle and the body)
Now I proceed with the adjustments following the guide linked first

hello everyone,
I wanted to inform you that thanks to your advice and suggestions
I finally reached a good setup (not perfect ...)

truss rod with 0.3mm of relief
pickups with 2mm from the strings from the bass side and 1.6mm on the side of the high (last fret pressed)
floating bridge with a range that allows you to switch
from G to A #
from B to C #
from E to F
I hope you have adjusted the height of the two pivot properly ...
the action is 2mm from the strings 1-2-3-4 and 2.5mm from the strings 5-6
the springs at the rear are adjusted as shown in the photo

the angle between the neck and the body I tried to adjust it (using the micro titl) as possible to zero

thank you,
Andrea

The tremolo springs: they are there to balance the string tension. If your guitar returns to pitch (right tuning) after you use the tremolo, they are OK. That can't be seen from your photo.

The bridge plate posts look a bit high to my taste (I'd set them so the bridge plate bottom is on the height of the bottom layer of the pickguard), but in your photo, the bridge plate is not parallel to the body so the pic may lie. And: there is no "one right height"; so again: if that works for your playing style, it's OK.
Your relief is about what SRV had, so if you play his style, the relief, string height and the tremolo settings may be just what you need.
Oh, one tip: if you get buzzing on the higher frets, start to correct it with less relief.

[I like low action; almost no relief; .009 strings; and the neck angle tilted back so that the saddles are adjusted high(ish). But that's just me.]

You got good photos, why not post them here. Like this:

Yea, flickr sure makes it difficult...
You find a bunch of photo addresses in flickr when you click the "more ways to share" button (arrow in a box), then the "Grab the HTML/BBCode", then choose the pic size you want, then choose the BBCode option, then do a little guessing which is the right one...
And finally when you have the address you need, you write your message here, click the IMG button and paste the address between the "][" in the "[img ][/ img]"

Hi,
thanks for the advice
Now I have the photos here in the forum ...

a question ... do you think I have to lower the two pivot?
or if everything works fine I can leave them as they are?

if I set the bridge that is parallel to the body
how can I get the change
from G to A #
from B to C #
and from E to F ?
