I have recently been fine tuning my 2012 AM Standard Strat. My neck relief is now .009 Last night as I was lowering my string action height as when I checked it was around .090 so I went to 06.25 and did not like the feel, I think me puts to much pressure on the strings, I then brought it up closer to
.070 and I like it better :) . Of course as you mess with one thing other thing go out, intonation, as I was adjusting the saddles I noticed that in order to get the intonation right the saddle is tight up to the pivot screw if I needed to go any further this would impede the process. My question is; am I suppose to move the whole bridge back, or am I missing something here, or did I do something wrong. I have included pictures . Thanks for your help in advance

The first thing to do now is to measure the string length; I'm guessing you have considerably less than 25.5" at the moment; measure from front end of the nut (=contact point) to bridge saddle contact point.

I get the front of the nut, not sure of what you mean by "bridge saddle contact point" When I get home I will pull out the tape measure and see where 25.5" ends up and maybe then I will understand "bridge saddle contact point"

Damn, I thought I was as clear as can be
"Contact point" = the point on the bridge saddle where the string touches the saddle (as opposed to e.g. measuring to the front end of the saddle).
In other words, you measure the free string length between the two points where it touches the nut and the saddle.

Got it thanks

If it does not measure correctly am I suppose to move the whole bridge back to get off of that screw if so I have yet to figure out how to do that

Moving the whole bridge would be just about the last thing I'd recommend on a factory made Fender.

I don't know how experienced you are in setups, but sounds like it ain't right.
Try to set it up according to factory specs - the Strat Setup Guide, you know. Use a good pro, if necessary.
Some wild guesses: Your pics don't show how high the bridge back end floats - too high could be one thing. The neck (plate) screws may be loose, or the neck sits too deep in the pocket. Relief may be wrong. Etc.

Fairly new at it

1/8 " off the body G string goes from G to A# , B string goes from B to C#, E string goes from E to F
The neck (plate) screws may be loose,Neck Screws are tight
or the neck sits too deep in the pocket. not sure of this how would I check?
Relief may be wrong.Relief is .009 I guess I could move it to .01 and see if that make a difference some how I feel the .001 will not matter much
When I get home I will give it another go and see whats what
Thanks mud
Etc.

+1000

Looks like you have the scale length short by about 1/8-1/4"

Any change in relief results in a scale length change.
