Hey guys, I'm new here, but a long time observer. I have a Strat that i recently put together. MIJ '62 Reissue Body, MIM Roadhouse Maple Neck, as seen here:

I am replacing the pickups with lace sensors. Red, Silver, and Hot Gold. The red is definitely going in the bridge, but i can't decide between the hot gold and silver which should go in the neck. Which would do better with Hendrix-type tones? Any help would be much appreciated!

Are you sure that is a Roadhouse neck? Haven't seen one with the oversized headstock and it has too many frets. Plus, is hard to judge by the picture but doesn't look "aged" enough. Mine is more of a golden yellow.

If that Silver is RWRP, you put it in the middle.
If not: to get an opinion that matters, you'd need feedback from someone who has the same set, has tried both combinations and plays Hendrix style...
If that person doesn't respond; experiment, or go the 'rule of thumb' way (hottest = bridge, weakest = neck).

There is no RWRP for the Lace Sensor pups, they are designed for no noise/hum, so no need for the noise cancellation provided by a RWRP in standard pup sets.

That's interesting. They have a regular silver and a RW silver? I'm not sure why you would need a RW Lace sensor....for that "quack" in the 2 and 4 positions?

I've never tried the hot gold, but all my Plus' and Ultras have the silver in the middle and blue on the neck. I think I'd start with the hot gold on the neck and silver in the middle to see how that works for you.
