Did you buy it new? If so, I would return it or ask for part of my money back.

Go to see a qualified luthier , not a handy man who can fix guitar , yellow page; luthier
If new , return it back

Assuming it was damaged on receipt, then contact the vendor. Either ask for a replacement or a discount.

If you damaged it then you either live with the damage or have it repaired.

While damaged paint is disappointing it doesn't effect the guitars ability to make music.

So you damaged it.

Just leave it. Knocks and dings are part of a guitars history. In years to come you can look back on them and say "I remember when that happened"

It might be the first chip but it probably wont be the last. A guitar is a tool, they get knocked, its one of those things.

Knocks on the neck can be annoying because you feel them, knocks on the body are irrelevant.
