So im new and was wondering for input about this situation im in. Ill try to explain this.

Its a Mexican HSS strat I've had for 4 years. It has a SD Invader in bridge and got it wired at a guitar shop. The other day neck pickup was cutting out. So I took it apart and found it to be a loose solder. I decided to remove it from the guitar all together.
Put it back together without neck pickup so now i have a Strat H-S with a middle single. But the 5 position switch makes a clean sound with bridge pickup when its switched to neck position. nothing in the 2nd (neck and mid) and same sound for mid mid bridge and bridge just louder.
Also the tone knobs for the neck and mid seems to adjust the drive and output now in the neck position on with the Invader.

Any ideas? Or did i mess something up for the better

On electronic circuit systems, it's usually not a very good idea to just remove something altogether.
You need to rewire the guitar for the HS configuration; so search for a diagram with 1hum, 1single, 1vol, 2tones and a 5way switch.

Or, to keep things simpler, just solder back (or let that gtrshop do it) the neck pickup the way it was, and just not use the positions 4&5 until you again feel the need.

If you plan on keeping the neck pickup off, you might as well wire the bridge pickup to that tone pot. I use neck pickup a lot but rarely the middle so wouldn't work for me.

Been playing it for past few days and i must say and im probably going to keep it this way but have it rewired over the summer with probably a stronger middle pickup.
