Looking forward to bringing home my Mystic Blue Strat Deluxe Plus. I've been checking these guitars out for about a month now, and think they are very versitile guitars. The idea that I can alter pickup configurations, tone sculpt and change treble bleeds is amazing, and I look forward to new cards coming out in the future.

I'm interested in what you think about it, I have looked it over and I think it is a good idea. It would be great if they come out with some blank or customizable cards to you could experiment with your own ideas for setups. :)

The personality cards have limited wiring options.

Hope Fender will add more wiring schemes including TBX, MDX, V6 and Grease Bucket circuits among others.

And since the MDX and V6 circuits will be housed into those personality cards the need for a battery would be obsolete, even if the card slot is large enough to accommodate an external 9V power supply.

I'm bot familiar with those circuits. What do they do?

Just received the guitar. Had to wait a few hours due to the cold. Sounds great. I've only touched the surface of its tonal qualities.

Here's a link to my new Strat Plux Deluxe.

http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/ ... US14041964

Due to serial number information, and I'm sure neck and body dates, the guitar might be thought of as 2014.

I'm inclinded to call it, "2015," the year the model was introduced. You've got to love Fender's serial number usage.

Not able to right now. Photobucket will not load the photos into my account. That's why posted the link.

Paris - these did come out last year, at the January 2014 NAMM show. Of course, don't forget that they don't "change over" serial number decals until some time in March; we won't see the "US15" numbers for a little while yet.

Nice looking guitar; I'm looking forward to a more detailed review including how you think the personality cards work.

Thanks for the info. The same s/n thing happened with my 50th Anniversary American Series Strat.

I'll most likely do a video in a few weeks.
