Hi folks..long time no see. I put together a wonderful parts Strat from a older British Racing Green Squire and a Fender Squire neck I had professionally re-fretted. ( Hey Fender, hows about a Lmtd. Edition US Racing Green Strat?? pretty plz? )
Anyhow, I'll never berate a budget guitar again. With a Custom Shop'69 in the bridge, and Custom John Mayer Big Dipper middle and neck, this thing obliterates, and I have many high end guitars to choose from..its just too fun to play, and hard to put down.
I am seeking for advice on the bridge middle position though. See, I accidentally wired it out of phase for this position. Sounds thin and low powered, but I'm so laaaazy- I don'wanna do invasive surgery again! And I do not want to add any trick switches either.
So I need your assitance plz. I have umpteen stock wired Strats. Would it be good to have one 'out of phase' bridge -middle position for my tone aresenal? It does seem to get a great "Wild Wing Dove " kind of chug tone, however is awefully thin otherwise.
How about ya? What do you say?

Personally, I would want that pup to be wired proper to get the full tone of that pup.

My suggestion... go back under the hood... get that wiring sorted... and... if so desired... run the jumper wire over from the tone tha's only connected to the middle pup to include the bridge pup.

Then... you have tone tweak available for all three pups... if you want than thin... funky, soul, shaft-nacious sound etc... you've got "Quack" happiness in position 2... or position 4 as close as a flick of Ye Ole' 5 Way Switch 8)

I jump the bridge to the neck tone. If I'm switched to bridge-mid I don't have to settle for one tone for both. Plus is easier to get to.
