So I just started playing in November and along with the desire to play my OCD kicked in and I started buying inexpensive electric guitars, mostly Peavey, along with a PRS SD, a Cort double humbucker, and even a Squier Bullet. Anyway long story short I recently went into a local store and there was a used 2003 Fat Strat Texas Special HSS for a decent price. Fantastic, looks new condition.
I just dropped some new strings on it and Man, I just love the sound, tone. Can't believe how much better it plays than the other guitars I have.

So now I'm thinking I need to sell most of my others The tone on this one is just amazing. Don't even want to play the others now. Well except for the Cort which is a LesPaul like guitar. That one sounds real nice and very different from the Strat.

Have you guys ever been glad you sold a guitar? Or is this like guns. I've never sold a gun that I was happy about. Always wish I had them back later.

Anyway I'm definitely a Fender Fan now. Think I'll get some new pickups for the bullet as the sound is not doing it for me. Also the neck is way thin/narrow or at least that's what it feels like. Any ideas?

I never sell guitars, amps, or guns!

I buy more wall hangers when my instrument collection begins to bloat, I stack the amps ever higher as necessary, and I'll buy another gunsafe when the existing one fills up.

Congrats on the new Fat Strat -- the Texas Special's are some great coils.

The others in the pic are Peavey's a Cort, and a Squier.

Get rid of the cheap ones, you won't even miss the Cort if you buy a real Les Paul. I never miss the cheap copies, only the real ones that I have sold over the years.

Get rid of 'em OR:

If you have a creative inclination, mod the heck out of 'em.
Crazy paint, re-shape the body and headstock, some kinda cool design up the fretboard,
make it truly yours.
Heck, even put your name logo on the headstock.

Or... not :o
