I have an unmodified MIM Standard Strat that is a really nice guitar. I'm looking for recommendations on the strings to try for the best Fender sound for classic rock and blues playing. What's better, 9's or 10's? Any brands that you favor? In terms of amps, I play through a Cyber Deluxe, a TRRI, a Champion 600, and a Micro Cube. Thanks!

I use D'Addario super lights 9-42. They rarely break and they sound great.

I have been using Webstrings for about 4 years now because they are cheap. I am from the school of thought that "strings are strings, and the cheaper they are, the more you change them." The one time I had a problem, I called them up and they set me replacements for the broken string (notice, I said "replacements"). Customer service is as good as the strings and the prices. I just make sure I wipe my strings down after each playing, though I have been blessed with pretty dry hands. Oh yeah, I use .09-.46's. I switched from .10's a few years ago.

DR Strings all the way. Their Tite-Fits are nickel wrapped over a round core. They are made like the strings of yesteryear. Awesome tone and they last forever!

I love Fender 250 Super Bullets. I also love the DR Tite Fits (10s) on my LP and I'd like to try them on my Strat too (9s). Try them all. You'll eventually find a set that work best for you and your git.

I used to fit 9-42 but needed a stronger tone from my guitars, so I went to 10-46. They are pretty flexible like 9's, but with more metal in there they sound just that useful bit better.
Start with Fender strings, try as many brands as you fell you need to, but experience tells me that the USA brands work the best. Fender and D'Addario work best for me.

I suggest Techno-Brights. Not that well known but a great brand for strings :) I think they're well known for their violin strings?
